*Welsh Face & Body Painting Festival, 11th-15th Aug
*Life-Force Foods and Beyond Asana present "Return to the Source 2008: Living Food / Living Yoga Retreat", near Dolgellau, from Mon 1st - Fri 5th Sept, Sat 6th & Sun 7th Sept, Mon 8th - Fri 12th Sept. A programme of
workshops, including raw food preparation classes and Yoga with a
difference. This event is being led by Chris Jenkins (inspirational teacher and
Raw food chef at Life-Force Foods), and Darren Deojee (Yoga teacher with
Beyond Asana). The retreat will be in a traditional stone cottage, 1000ft up in the Welsh mountains, with amazing
views across the valley.
Costs: week-long retreat - £250, a weekend break - £100, or a 1day taster - £50. Prices include all workshops, food and

£11; 8pm. "Kissmet are at the forefront of the British Asian fusion scene. The band, who are half Indian and half English, fuse the cultural traditions of both. They combine elements of bhangra, raags, rock and funk to create a truly unique blend of grassroots Anglo-Indian music. Fronted by Sikh brothers, the band perform in Punjabi, Hindi and English and blend dohl drums, tablas, guitar, keys and vocals." (Llangollen Fringe website).

£10; 8pm. "Wheeler Street are one of the rising stars of the UK folk scene. A seven piece festival band of 17-19 year olds, Wheeler Street will play several major UK festivals this summer including Cambridge, Broadstairs and Bromyard. They combine all the energy of the most raucous of folk songs with an inspired bass and a full drum kit, arriving on the scene like a young Levellers determined to get the party started."
